Illumina technology but results in ab1 format!

PlasmidSeq is a special Next-Generation sequencing protocol because samples are processed using Illumina technology but results are delivered using the same file format (ab1) as for Sanger sequencing. You are sending us a template that is ready for library preparation.

You supply:

  • Plasmid or PCR product up to 20 kb in length.
  • Please notice the PlasmidSeq protocol is not compatible with mixed templates.

We perform:

  • Library preparation
  • Sequencing using Illumina technology
  • Assembly, consensus sequence generation and its conversion to ab1 format

Sample requirements - PlasmidSeq

Time to results:

  • Approximately 2 weeks from the moment we receive your samples.

What you can expect:

  • Length of read up to 20 kb, data accuracy typically > 99 %
  • Results online in .ab1 format. Sequence >3000 b will be split into several ab1 files.
  • Automatic email message as soon as your results are ready to download
  • Permanent internal quality control
  • Storage of your samples for one week, of your results for one month
  • Experienced technical support

Data analysis:

The evaluation of the results obtained by the PlasmidSeq protocol is performed manually by our specialists! Each sample file is checked before sending to get the most out of it for you.
