StandardSeq

Standard single read sequencing service for plasmids or PCR fragments.

This is the most common protocol in our Sanger sequencing portfolio of services. You are sending us a template that is ready for sequencing (purified).

You supply:

  • PCR product or plasmid.
  • Template must be mixed together with the sequencing primer.
  • If you wish to use our universal primers, you supply the template only.

We perform:

  • Sequencing reaction
  • Capillary electrophoresis of sequencing reaction products
  • Manual data analysis

Time to results:

  • Typically up to 24 hours (working days) from the moment we receive your samples.

What you can expect:

  • Length of read up to 1100 bp, data accuracy typically > 99 %
  • Universal primers provided free of charge
  • Results online in .ab1, fasta, and .phd.1 format
  • Automatic email message as soon as your results are ready to download
  • Permanent internal quality control, repeated runs for free
  • Storage of your samples for one week, of your results for two years
  • Experienced technical support

 

Data analysis:

The evaluation of the results obtained by the StandardSeq protocol is performed manually by our specialists! Each sample file is checked before sending and re-analyzed as needed to get the most out of it for you. We recommend to your attention the articles in our Magazine, where we continuously address various aspects of this method, including the evaluation of the results.
