Metagenomics is the study of genetic material obtained directly from environmental samples. This is useful when trying to understand what microbes are present in a sample and what they do in a particular environment. In our workshop you will learn how to process metagenomic data ranging from quality control, filtering, assembly / clustering to taxonomic classification, functional classification and comparative metagenomics.
We are again inviting you to join our data analysis workshop which covers all basic steps of Next-Generation sequencing data analysis. We present you with our workshop on NGS data visualization using R. The reason of choosing the R language is not only because its computing power, but also because it is perfect for plotting various scientific data, not only NGS. You will learn the basics of R, how to become proficient in data handling and the principles of data analysis. All this enables you to learn the power of R for data visualization, including making all the most common plots used in NGS publications, and even more.
The aim of the course is to help you gain a basic orientation in technologies, principles, concepts and possibilities of using Next-Generation sequencing (NGS).
